Natalia García Clark. Mexican artist whose practice focuses primarily on time-based media. Her work engages with historiography, identity, technology, social struggles, and popular culture, approached from a philosophical perspective that is intentionally carried with a sense of lightness. García Clark's practice is defined by meticulous creative processes conducted with a kind of scientific rigor. Her work brings together absurd elements explored through experimentation, seeking the unknown until it reveals itself. Her narratives oscillate between linear and non-linear structures, moving between cinema and art.
García Clark's work has been shown in a number of museums and cultural spaces, including the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery (2019 Commended Artist), the York Art Gallery, and the Kirchner Cultural Center, among others. Her films have screened in film festivals such as Visions du Réel, the San Sebastián International Film Festival, and the Morelia International Film Festival. García Clark earned a B.F.A. in Art from CalArts and a Master's degree in Film from the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in the Basque Country.

A su trabajo lo atraviesa la historiografía, la identidad, la tecnología, las luchas sociales y la cultura popular, desde una perspectiva filosófica que intencionalmente se maneja con ligereza. La práctica de García Clark se caracteriza por meticulosos procesos creativos conducidos con cierto rigor científico. Su obra conjuga elementos absurdos implementados en lo experimental en búsqueda de aquello que desconoce hasta que lo encuentra. Sus narrativas oscilan entre lo lineal y no-lineal, transitando entre el cine y el arte.
La obra de García Clark ha sido expuesta en diversos museos y espacios culturales: la Galería Nacional de Retratos del Smithsonian (Artista galardonada 2019), la Galería de Arte de York, el Centro Cultural Kirchner, entre otros; sus películas se han proyectado en festivales de cine como Visions du Réel, el Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián y el Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia. García Clark obtuvo un B.F.A en Arte de CalArts y un Máster en Cine de la Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, en el País Vasco.
