Una mosca trata de escapar de una caja transparente situada frente a una pintura de paisaje. El movimiento de su cuerpo contrasta con la quietud de la escena por la cual parecería estar volando, mientras que el azotamiento de su aleteo, magnificado por un micrófono, delimita los bordes de la caja. El periodo de espera es lo que nos permite proyectar una serie de angustias y procesos internos en el espíritu del animal cautivo, separándonos y uniéndonos a la vez con su ser.
A fly tries to find its way out of a transparent box that sits before a landscape painting. Its moving body contrasts the static scenery it appears to be flying through, while the demarcations of the box are magnified by the insect’s desperate flutter thrashing against its walls. It is the seemingly eternal period of waiting for the fly to exit which allows us to project our own set of inner processes onto the spirit of the captive animal, separating and joining us at once with its being.
